PRINTER'S PROOF: Before a poster is printed in large quantities, the printer prints a limited number of test posters. Commonly, they leave the color chart on the edge of the poster, print in a single color, or a combination of just a few colors. These are then shown to people in a position to approve them. Once they are approved, the final posters are printed and the proofs normally are destroyed. A printer's proof is far more rare than a regular one sheet poster, and there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction.
